Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the LumenLED application ("App") developed by Digital Lighting Solutions ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using LumenLED, you agree to these terms.

Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use LumenLED for personal or professional lighting control purposes, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Subscriptions

LumenLED offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("LumenLED Pro") that unlock additional features including larger grid sizes and multi-universe output.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use the App for any unlawful purpose; or redistribute, sublicence, or sell access to the App outside of the mechanisms provided by Apple.

Network and hardware

LumenLED sends lighting control data (Art-Net, sACN, WLED) over your local network to hardware devices you own or have permission to operate. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have authorisation to control any connected lighting equipment.

Disclaimer of warranties

LumenLED is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all lighting hardware.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Digital Lighting Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the App.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data LumenLED collects (very little) and how it is handled.

Data we do not collect

LumenLED does not collect or transmit any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Photos, audio, or media content

On-device data

LumenLED stores your configuration data — grid layouts, effect settings, protocol configurations, and scenes — locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not transmitted to any external server. If you use iCloud backup, this data may be included in your device backup per your Apple settings.

Microphone access

LumenLED requests microphone access for audio-reactive lighting effects. Audio is processed entirely on-device in real time using Apple's Accelerate framework for frequency analysis. Audio data is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Photo library access

LumenLED requests photo library access to let you map images to your pixel grid. Images are processed on-device to extract colour data. Images are never uploaded or transmitted.

Local network access

LumenLED requires local network access to send lighting control data (Art-Net, sACN/E1.31, WLED protocols) to your lighting hardware. All network communication stays within your local network. No data is sent to the internet.

Subscription data

If you subscribe to LumenLED Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of your purchase data.

Third-party services

LumenLED does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, or any other third party embedded in the App.

Children's privacy

LumenLED does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation or collect personal data from any user.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
