Individual files
- 01-colour-bars.mp4 SMPTE colour bars with a 1 kHz tone. A static frame, so the Mirror and Tile effects are unmistakable.
- 02-motion-test-pattern.mp4 Moving test pattern with an on-screen frame counter — confirms live playback rather than a still image.
- 03-mandelbrot-zoom.mp4 Continuous fractal zoom. Pairs well with the app's Zoom effect.
- 04-colour-gradients.mp4 Rolling flat colour fields — the clearest way to see the crossfader blending two decks.
-
05-cellular.mov
A
.movfile, so both supported container formats are covered.
Suggested test run
- Download the zip above and unzip it.
- Launch RadVJ and drag all five clips onto the window — they appear as numbered thumbnail tiles. (Open Files and Open Folder in the toolbar do the same thing.)
- Click tile 04 to load Deck A. The Player window opens and playback begins.
- Click tile 01 to load Deck B.
- Drag the X-FADE slider between the decks to blend them.
- Try the per-deck effect strip — Zoom, Tile and Mirror are the most visible on clip 01.
- Send the Player window full-screen to see the black-letterboxed output intended for a second display.
Licensing
Every clip is generated synthetically by ffmpeg from its built-in test sources. There is no third-party footage, music, likeness or trademark in any of them, and nothing that requires a licence.
