This privacy policy applies to all macOS and iOS applications, and to the website apps.digitallightingsolutions.com.au, published by Digital Lighting Solutions Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”), including but not limited to RadVJ, and any future applications released under our developer account.
Our applications do not collect any personal information — they run entirely on your device. The contact form on our website collects the information you provide along with technical information (IP address and approximate geographic location) for security, anti-spam and audit purposes.
None. Our applications do not collect, log, or transmit any personal data, usage data, device identifiers, location data, contacts, analytics, or telemetry of any kind.
Our apps may read files and folders that you explicitly select (for example, video files imported into RadVJ). These files are processed locally on your device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party. References to imported files are stored locally on your device using the operating system’s security-scoped bookmark mechanism.
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
Lawful basis (GDPR / UK GDPR): our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form, defending against fraud, and maintaining an audit trail of correspondence. You must give explicit consent on the form before submission. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, in which case we will delete your submission.
Australian Privacy Act: this information is collected and held in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not disclose it to overseas recipients except as needed for the IP geolocation lookup described above.
CCPA / CPRA (California): we do not sell or share personal information. California residents have the right to know what we have collected and to request deletion (see “Your Rights” below).
For IP geolocation we query the public service ip-api.com server-side from our own server. Your IP address is transmitted to that service for the lookup; no other personal information is sent. Our applications do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.
Our public pages do not use tracking cookies. The administrative area of our website uses a single strictly-necessary session cookie for staff login; this cookie is not used for tracking or analytics.
Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of 12 months and then automatically deleted, unless they relate to an active customer matter that requires longer retention.
Submissions are stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure with HTTPS in transit. The administrative area is protected by password-hashed authentication and session controls. We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures, but no system is perfectly secure.
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Australia, the OAIC). To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.
Our hosting is operated in Australia. The IP geolocation service is operated internationally. By submitting the contact form you consent to your IP address being transmitted to that service for the lookup.
If this policy changes, an updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date.
Privacy questions or requests — including access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent — can be sent through our contact form. Please mark your message “Privacy” in the subject line and we will respond within 30 days.
